
Cultural enthusiasts and community members are in for a treat, as Blaine gears up for its 15th annual WorldFest set to kick off next weekend. The event, which celebrates the diversity of cultures from around the globe, will take place at Tom Ryan Park on Saturday, September 14, from 1:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. According to a Facebook post by the city, attendees can look forward to an array of performances that showcase various traditions and arts.
Highlighted acts include Colombian folklore presented by Colombia Live, choreographed pieces by the CAAM Chinese Dance Theater, and the intense rhythms of Taiko drumming from Harisen Daiko. For those with a flair for Latin beats, Salsa del Soul will bring their nine-piece orchestra to the stage, promising a vibrant salsa music and dance experience. The celebration does not stop there, WorldFest will also feature traditional Aztec dance by Elohuayotl Mitotiani, and the Iny Asian Dance Theater, which will mesmerize the crowd with beautiful Asian folk dances.
