In a move aimed at streamlining its internal operations, the City of Plymouth announced it is on the lookout for new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software and services to overhaul its current systems, per a recent release. The city's goal is to replace the Tyler New World software that is currently underpinning processes in financials, human resources/payroll, and utility billing.
Plymouth is keeping its options open, courting offers from not only ERP vendors but also best-of-breed vendors specifically for certain modules, which the city has delineated in the fine print of the RFP sections 2.6-2.10 signaling that the city may opt for a single supplier or multiple vendors to fulfill their diverse operational needs across departments. Vendors interested in submitting proposals are directed to meticulously review section 4 of the RFP which outlines the exact format required for the proposal response, and it's not just about digital submissions—attachments A, B, and C delineate specific document format requirements.
The deadline to throw one's hat into the ring is 4 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 30, 2024, giving potential candidates ample time to craft thorough proposals, meanwhile, an optional pre-proposal meeting for additional insights has been scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2024, although attendance is not a requirement for proposal submission, it offers a clearer understanding of the city's expectations and requirements.
Questions about the RFP can be directed to Human Resources Generalist Heidi Finn via the email address [email protected], but make sure to shoot your queries her way by no later than September 12, 2024, to ensure you get the clarifications needed to possibly secure this government contract and aid the City of Plymouth in modernizing its public service infrastructure.
