The latest buzz on the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo's star-powered lineup for 2025, and it's clear that both rodeo enthusiasts and music fans have a lot to look forward to, as reported by  Austin Culture Map. The rodeo is setting the stage for a high-energy blend of country and rock legends alongside emerging talents that ensure a draw beyond the traditional cowboy crowd.

Joining the previously announced heavy-hitter Keith Urban, who will be gracing the stage for not one, but two performances on February 8, is a collection of artists bound to make waves. Injecting some 'American Idol' glam into the mix, Scotty McCreery is slated to shake things up on opening night on February 6 with his brand of country charm known widely since his Idol victory, according to details revealed by MySanAntonio.com. Riding along with him are Koe Wetzel, whose "Drunk Driving" has fans swaying more than just to the music, and Tyler Hubbard who brings his "Back Then Right Now" energy to Valentine's Day no less. Not your average rodeo lineup.

But there's more than just your staple country beats. The 'Red Rocker' himself, Sammy Hagar will perform on February 20, promising to infuse some classic rock adrenaline into the event. And for those who like their country served with a little nostalgia, Diamond Rio and Dwight Yoakam are set to feature on February 17 and 22 respectively, adding a touch of timelessness to the mix that's hard to resist.

Also stirring the pot is Muscadine Bloodline, set for February 13, adding a pinch of Southern rock to the country stew that's been simmering nicely with the addition of this duo known for their gritty tunes and harmony-driven sound. Anticipation is already high, with Austin CultureMap noting that local stars like Austin's Charley Crockett have graced the stage in the past and there's a good chance that Midland from Dripping Springs will return, having kept up appearances at least since 2020.

Chris Derby, chief marketing officer for the rodeo, exuded excitement, "We can't wait for this year's rodeo and festival in February. We are excited about the line-up and bringing San Antonio and South Texas exciting PRCA rodeos and top-notch rodeo events," as noted in a statement obtained by MySanAntonio.com
