
A 46-year-old woman from Dade City was killed in a crash while riding a tricycle. The accident happened early Monday morning on Long Avenue when her tricycle was hit by a Suzuki SX4. Her name has not been released, according to FOX13.
The driver of the Suzuki, a 43-year-old Dade City man, overtook and collided with the tricyclist near the intersection with 15th Street, a fact reiterated by different outlets; however, a critical detail emerged that the tricycle was not equipped with lights at the time of the accident according to the WTSP.
The woman was taken to a local hospital but later died from her injuries. This incident highlights the dangers for cyclists, especially when there isn’t enough lighting on the roads, according to Pasco News Online.
