The wind is set to pick to sometimes gust as high as 20 mph.
For those planning weekend activities, the weather looks to cooperate with sunny skies and more agreeable temperatures. Saturday is predicted to feature a high near 87, and Sunday follows suit with the same high, but with lighter winds. The nights will cool down to clear conditions and lows dip into the low 60s. By Monday, the sunny trend continues, and temperatures will gradually rise again, with Monday's high reaching near 89 degrees.
The Hazardous Weather Outlook issued by the National Weather Service reminds Texans that although the coming days mostly promise clear skies, today and tonight do carry the risk of thunderstorms, specifically across Central and East Texas. While severe weather is not anticipated, "Lightning and heavy rainfall will be the primary hazards." The statement added that the storm activity is expected to end by this evening. Spotter activation will not be necessary at this time, as severe weather is not on the horizon, giving residents one less thing to worry about.
