The community can now breathe a sigh of relief as Ana Vallecillo, the 10-year-old who went missing earlier this week, has been found safe and sound. The Dallas Police Department confirmed that the critical search came to an end with Ana being located, sparing her family and friends the agony of uncertainty. The details of her recovery have not been released at this time.
Vallecillo’s disappearance prompted the Dallas Police to seek the public's assistance after she was last spotted on September 4, in the vicinity of the 8300 block of Spring Valley Road. She was reported to be traveling in a gold or beige Honda sedan, though its license plate and model year remained unspecified.
Described as a white female, weighing about 80 pounds, and standing at 5 feet 5 inches tall, Ana was last seen in a white and blue shirt proudly emblazoned with "Honduras," paired with black shorts and tan sandals. Her bright pink backpack was also noted as a distinguishing accessory. In their initial call to action, law enforcement had pushed for anyone with information to immediately contact the police.
News of Vallecillo’s safe return was shared by the Dallas Police Department. The Police Department expressed their gratitude for the community's efforts in aiding the search, stressing the importance of public assistance in resolving such cases. However, no further details regarding the circumstances of the find, or Ana's condition upon being found were offered.
