This evening, the chance of precipitation hovers at 20 percent for Dallas, tapering off before 10 pm as the cold front makes its way through. As noted by the National Weather Service, "There is a slight chance of thunderstorms today. Lightning and heavy rainfall will be the primary concerns." The gusts will decline slightly, to highs of 20 mph, setting the stage for a mostly clear night with the temperatures dipping to around 68 degrees.
Looking ahead to the weekend, Saturday promises sunny skies with daytime highs mellowing slightly to around 85. Northeast winds continue to gust, calming only slightly come nightfall, as temperatures drop to a pleasant 62 degrees. Sunday sustains this trend, bringing sunshine and a high near 84, with light northeast winds to end the day pleasantly at 60 degrees.
As we approach the next work week, NWS Fort Worth alerts that by Wednesday, the odds of rain increase again to 30 percent. The forecast suggests partly sunny conditions with highs in the mid-80s, this pattern carries into Thursday with, a persistent chance of showers and thunderstorms, as per the National Weather Service.
