A gunfire incident in Dorchester on Friday morning left a man with an injured hand, and a vehicle linked to the shooting was later found at a gas station in Randolph. According to NBC Boston, the Boston police stated that the man's wounds were non-fatal. They affirmed that the vehicle with bullet damage, towed back to Boston for further examination, was connected to the Dorchester shooting, which occurred around 11:16 a.m.

At the Randolph Mobil gas station, recovered miles from the shooting site, yellow caution tape surrounded at least two cars, and officers were active on the scene. As police were seen questioning people in the vicinity, a SKY7-HD camera captured one of the vehicles sporting a bullet hole in its window. A 7NEWS camera spotted a man at the same gas station, talking to police while wearing a bandage and bloodstained sweatpant, as reported by WHDH News.

No arrests related to the incident had been made as of the later afternoon, with both Boston Police and officials at the Randolph scene dealing with an ongoing investigation. Local Randolph residents expressed their concern and surprise over the incident. One onlooker, whose year-long residence had thus far been unmarred by such violence, told WHDH News, "I saw the police come in and try to arrest someone and they were fighting and that’s it."

Ilene Cloutier, another witness, recounted her encounter with the heightened police activity saying, "There were six police cars," she added, "They all had their lights on. And they were just walking around," her statement to WHDH News. The Boston Police are continuing their investigation, examining the connections between a shooting, an injured man, and the gas station crime scene together.
