
Durham police are currently investigating what they are referring to as a "suspicious" death after a man was found dead inside a home early Sunday morning. CBS17 reported that officers responded to a call regarding a cardiac arrest at a residence on the 200 block of East Markham Avenue shortly after 4 a.m., whereupon arrival they discovered a deceased male.
Though the man was pronounced dead at the scene, a cause of death has yet to be officially determined. While investigating the scene, East Markham Avenue was closed from North Roxboro Street to Vista Street, advised drivers to take alternate routes as crews worked, according to a news release obtained by The News & Observer.
The deceased individual was found in a Duke Park home, which has now become the center of this ongoing investigation, authorities have yet to release additional information regarding the identity of the man or potential leads.
