A 65-year-old woman was behind the wheel of the Acura, driving westbound through the parking lot of 6041 Mission Gorge Road when the scooter struck the vehicle's front passenger bumper. According to the SDPD Watch Commander's Log, the man sustained an open fracture to his left tibia and fibula, but luckily, the injuries are not life-threatening. The woman involved in the collision was reported to have been uninjured.

The San Diego Police Department's Traffic Division responded to the scene and has taken over the investigation. The officers have since confirmed that DUI was not a factor in this incident.
