After over four decades of serving traditional Mexican cuisine to the North Sacramento community, Ramona's Comida Mexicana has announced its impending closure. The beloved local eatery, which has been a fixture on Northgate Boulevard since 1981, is set to shut its doors on September 30, ending a long-standing culinary legacy that has been a favorite for generations of families and food aficionados.
The announcement, which came via a statement released by KCRA, did not specify the reasons leading to the closure of Ramona's Comida Mexicana. Instead, the message focused on expressing gratitude to their patrons for the years of unwavering support. "Over the decades, we have been honored to be part of countless celebrations, shared meals and cherished moments with you. We have served generations," the restaurant shared.
Through their social media, owners Roland & Ramona Jufiar and their family extended their personal thanks to the community. In a heartfelt Facebook post, they wrote, "Thank you very much for your support, your friendship, for being an integral part of our restaurant's journey. We will always cherish the memories and the community we have built together. With heartfelt gratitude for all of you, again thank you and best wishes."
