
The small town of Ephrata was shaken by an armed robbery at the Tobacco King establishment, as the Ephrata Police Department continues its investigation into the events of Monday night. According to ABC27, a male suspect dressed in black clothing and a mask entered the store located at 108 North Reading Road and brandished a firearm at an employee.
During the harrowing incident, this employee and two customers managed to escape the premises without physical harm, the search through the back of the store by the masked assailant, not yielding any reports yet about anything being taken from the store. The police have not released additional details on whether the suspect succeeded in stealing any merchandise or cash from the Tobacco King and he ultimately fled the scene on foot, said the authorities.
As reported by FOX43, the suspect was described as wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and a mask while wielding a handgun. Meanwhile, the police are actively pursuing leads and have called upon the public to offer any information that might aid in capturing the individual responsible for this crime.
