
Early Monday morning tragedy struck on the streets of south Las Vegas where a cyclist was fatally hit in a hit-and-run incident. The crash, as reported by FOX5 Vegas, occurred around 2:50 a.m. at the intersection of Silverado Ranch Boulevard and Bermuda Road. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department arrived at the scene to discover that the vehicle involved in the crash had fled after striking the cyclist, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Las Vegas Metropolitan police are urgently working to quickly locate the driver responsible for the incident. The ongoing investigation prompted the closure of east and westbound lanes of Silverado Ranch Boulevard, between Bermuda and 555 Silverado Ranch Blvd. As noted by a report from 8 News Now, the impact occurred in the eastbound lanes, just east of Bermuda Road.
