A tragic collision in Northglenn on Saturday claimed the life of a motorcyclist, authorities reported. The Northglenn Police Department confirmed the incident involved a car and a motorcycle at the intersection near 112th Ave. and Fox Run Pkwy, according to KDVR.

Following the crash, a significant portion of 112th Avenue was rendered impassable, the road was shut down in both directions, stretching from York Street to Steele Street. As the investigation unfolded, no immediate timeline was offered for when the road would reopen, as stated by The Denver Post. The area affected by the road closures straddles the boundary line between Thornton, and Northglenn, areas that are frequented by residents heading to Carpenter Park and the Margaret Carpenter Recreation Center.
