A parent of a Burbank High School student, who wished to remain anonymous, expressed disbelief and concern to KSAT, asking, "Why is no one helping?" while the videos depict an alarming confrontation that ended when an individual brandished a firearm.
The fight, which took place on the Burbank Loop just before 5 p.m. on September 23rd, prompted a police response that resulted in the detention of the armed individual and the weapon in question, the San Antonio Independent School District stated in an email to students' families, which was also sent to KSAT, however, it emerged that the person with the gun was not a student of Burbank High School and the weapon was not taken onto school grounds, leading to an atmosphere fraught with unanswered questions and deep unease among the parents, one of them relayed to KSAT, "No kid should worry about that," they said, furthermore recounting how their own child left the scene visibly shaken and troubled by the experience.
