Authorities in Harris County have recently apprehended a man with warrants out for serious charges. According to a Facebook post by Precinct 4, deputies received a tip about the location of Joseph Summerlin, a suspect wanted for aggravated assault and robbery. Responding to an address on the 11800 block of E Jane Lane, deputies spotted Summerlin's vehicle and pulled him over on Sunday.
With the constables quickly acting on the supplied tip, a traffic stop was smoothly executed, despite the high stakes involved in apprehending a person accused of violent crimes. Identified at the scene, Joseph Summerlin was carrying two open warrants: one for aggravated assault out of Harris County and another for robbery from Pardons and Parole.
Constable Mark Herman noted in a Facebook post, "Joseph Summerlin was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail. His bond for the Aggravated Assault was set at $100,000.00 out of the 338th District Court." The judicial process is now expected to take its course with Summerlin awaiting trial.
