According to Denver7, the incident quickly spiraled into a hazardous pursuit after the suspect rammed a patrol car in an escape attempt, the deputy in the vehicle was subsequently hospitalized for an evaluation.
The situation escalated rapidly, with the Douglas County Sheriff's Office stating that during the escape, a trailer became dislodged, and the suspect fired multiple shots at responding officers, as detailed by CBS News.
