Residents near the Old Frederick Road Pump Station can expect construction activity starting September 16th as Howard County embarks on a sewer system improvement project. According to an announcement on the Howard County Government website, the work is slated to upgrade infrastructure at the Ellicott City facility at 8516 Dorsey Spring Court. The plan includes replacing sewer valves, adding new lighting, and extending the parking lot paving, with an estimated completion by late November 2024.
The county has indicated that the construction, which will take place Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., shouldn't significantly disrupt local traffic. Signs will be posted to inform both residents and motorists about the ongoing work.
