Lewisville Grand Theater Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month with "Conexiones Culturales" Art Exhibit and Film ScreeningSource: Google Street View

This Hispanic Heritage Month, visit the Lewisville Grand Theater from Sept. 20 to Nov. 16 to enjoy the "Conexiones Culturales: Cultural Connections" art exhibition and film screening. The showcase features the artwork of seven Latinx artists, including Odilia Iaccarino and Veronica Medeiros, curated by Jose Angel Hernandez. It's a great way to experience Latinx culture in North Texas, as the City of Lewisville reported.

The exhibit is open to the public in the Administration Hallway Gallery from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and during public events at the theater. Be sure to mark your calendar for Sept. 29 because that's when you can meet these artists starting at 1 p.m. Following the meet and greet, the award-winning musical film, "In The Heights" will be screened at 2 p.m. And suppose you're feeling the rhythm after the show. In that case, according to a press release from the City of Lewisville, you can join in on an interactive Latin dance demonstration featuring Dance At Legacy's principal dancer, Zyriab.

Free parking is available on Main and Church Streets, but be aware of road construction on Main Street near 35E, which might cause delays. For event details or facility rental, visit their website or call 972-219-8446.
