
The tranquility of a Phoenix neighborhood was broken early Friday morning when an attempted robbery escalated into gun violence, according to local authorities. Phoenix Police responded to reports of a shooting that occurred just before 12:30 a.m. near 27th and Campbell Avenues, where a man sustained a gunshot wound during the criminal incident.
Both FOX 10 Phoenix and 12 News reported, that upon arrival at the scene, officers found the wounded individual and quickly transported him to a local hospital, where he received care for injuries deemed non-life-threatening. The investigation, which remains ongoing, has revealed that the man was the target of a robbery by two adult males – during which, one of the suspects shot him.
The suspects are reported to have fled the scene before police could arrive and currently remain at large. Descriptions or identities of the individuals involved in the incident have not been disclosed by Phoenix authorities. The nature of the altercation that preceded the shooting, as well as the possible motives behind the robbery, are details that have yet to come to light as the investigation proceeds.
The police have not yet released any additional information regarding the suspects or any progress in their search. "It was learned that the man was the victim of a robbery by two adult males," police said, "During this robbery attempt the victim was shot by one of the suspects," as reported by FOX 10 Phoenix.
