
The Metropolitan Police Department has made a series of arrests connected to unauthorized use of vehicles and auto theft incidents across Washington, DC. A statement from the department details several individuals apprehended in the past week for their suspected involvement in these offenses.
On September 20 and 24, suspects were taken into custody from various locations in the Northeast and Southeast quadrants of the city. Among those arrested were Edlisa Caesar (31) and Harold Miller (35), both from Northeast DC, and Dominique Edwards (37) of Southeast DC, who was charged with Theft One (Stolen Auto). According to the MPDC's report, the vehicles were recovered from the 2500 Block of Pomeroy Road, SE and the 300 Block of 14TH Street, SW, respectively.
The subsequent arrests included a pair of suspects, Lacroixya Floyd (23) and Rasheer Jenkins (25), apprehended in the 2900 Block of Knox Place, SE. Details from the official report also mentioned the arrest of Alonte Nolan (18), who was charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle following recovery on the 1200 Block of I Street, SE.
The list of apprehensions carried on with Jamal Brooks (28) from Riverdale, MD, and Rashaud Spencer (20) hailing from Northeast, DC, both caught in association to unauthorized use of vehicles. Another set of arrests comprised of Daynard Williams (31) and Ricardo Harris (35), who were taken into custody in the 3200 Block of 21ST Street, SE. Those incidents occurred on September 23 and 26, spotlighting the ongoing issue with vehicle thefts in the nation's capital.
