
The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking help from the public in their search for a burglary and armed robbery suspect in Northwest. Details about the incident, which took place on the early morning of Saturday, detail a forced entry and a confrontation that has left the community on edge. The crime occurred in the 800 block of V Street, Northwest, and involved a suspect entering a business that was closed, confronting the victim, and holding them at gunpoint, as reported by the Metropolitan Police Department.
The authorities report that the incident occurred at around 7:16 a.m. when the suspect demanded and took property from the victim before fleeing the scene. The Metropolitan Police Department is not only asking for assistance in identifying the suspect but also is offering a substantial reward. According to their website, "The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a violent crime committed in the District of Columbia."
