According to MPD's official statement, the event was brought to the attention of the police at around 4:41 p.m., when DC Fire and EMS personnel, who were tending to the victim, notified officers in the 1500 block of Marion Barry Avenue, Southeast. The victim of the stabbing, whose identity remains undisclosed, was treated on the scene before the transport.
The police have not released details regarding the circumstances that led to the stabbing or a description of the suspect involved.
