The robbery occurred at about 3:46 p.m. on Thursday inside an establishment in the 3300 block of 14th Street, Northwest. The robber, armed with a handgun, confronted the victim and demanded that they surrender their shoes. Complying with the suspect's demands, the victim handed over the footwear, and the suspect subsequently fled from the scene of the crime.
The Metropolitan Police Department has shifted into high gear to appeal to the public for assistance. They hope that someone will be able to identify the suspect based on the details provided and come forward with information. According to MPDC, the police have urged that anyone with information should not intervene directly but reach out through official channels. A reward of up to $10,000 is now on the table for information that can lead to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.
