The Metropolitan Police Department is reaching out to the public for assistance to locate a suspect involved in a robbery that took place in Northwest, D.C. As per the details released by the authority, the incident occurred on Saturday afternoon.
At around 3:49 p.m., the victim was on the 1400 block of Park Road, Northwest, when they had the misfortune of encountering the suspect. The assailant not only physically assaulted the victim but also brandished a firearm and proceeded to rob them of their belongings before fleeing the scene, according to the police report.
The Metropolitan Police Department is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information that could lead to the arrest and conviction of the individual or individuals responsible for this and other violent crimes in the District of Columbia. With the knowledge of the situation, the police have urged those with information to be cautious, advising against taking any action themselves but instead seeking to secure the safety of the citizens by calling on their prerogative to aid in the arrest of potentially dangerous individuals.
