A helicopter spun its blades against the sky, commencing a day filled with joy at the Touch-a-Truck event held on Saturday. Stonecreek Church's surrounding greens served as the arena for children and families to explore the ins and outs of various vehicles.
For an immersive three hours, thousands explored the event made possible by the City's collaboration with Stonecreek Church. Participants had the opportunity to get up close with a gamut of vehicles. Given a rare chance, kids felt small next to oversized Monster Truck tires and partied aboard a bus full of balloons and music, while others snapped pictures with the iconic Oscar Meyer WienerMobile.
Despite being an event centered around trucks, Touch-a-Truck offered more than just vehicular excitement. Paramedics provided hands-on learning experiences inside an ambulance, and Milton Police officers took pride in detailing their patrol car's interior. The activities extended beyond vehicles to face painting, arts and crafts, and bounding joy in age-grouped inflatable bouncy houses. Food trucks were on scene, serving varied cuisines to families who settled at picnic tables specially brought in for the day. Making the pleasure uninterrupted, the skies remained clear and blue, adding to the delightful atmosphere.
Gratitude was extended by the City of Milton to top sponsors like Tri Scapes and the Reid Casey Real Estate Team, among other local businesses, for their commitment to the event and broader community support. A resounding THANK YOU echoed for those who attended, creating a vibrant communal spirit.
