According to a public notice issued by Morrison County, the schedule for September 22 to September 28 is teeming with board meetings, committee deliberations, and emergency service discussions.
The week's agenda kicked off with the Boys and Girls Club grand opening in Little Falls on September 23, followed closely by the Morrison County Extension Committee's gathering at Triple S Farms in Royalton, and on the next day, the Commissioner’s Board meeting took place in the County Board Room, with remote attendance options facilitated through the TEAMS platform on their website. For those who require accommodations to participate in any of these meetings, Morrison County is asking individuals to call at least 48 hours in advance to make the necessary arrangements.
Midweek meetings include the HRA Meeting at the HRA Office and an Executive Committee Meeting at City Hall in St. Cloud, both on September 25, with the latter part of the day reserved for an Emergency Services Board Meeting. These sessions highlight the commissioners’ dedication to various aspects of county governance, from housing and urban affairs to managing the intricacies of local emergency services.
The Board's responsibilities extend into the digital realm with the 12:30 pm Statewide Emergency Communications virtual meeting on September 26, as detailed by Morrison County. Connectivity allows the Board to extend its reach beyond physical boardrooms to engage in state-wide policy discourse, following this will be the in-person Rum River Watershed Meeting at the Mille Lacs County Courthouse in Milaca and the commissioners are also set to convene for the Region 5 Sourcewell meeting in Staples, wrapping up the intense week of appointments, the Board will partake in the Mississippi Headwaters Board at the Cass County Courthouse in Walker, MN on September 27.
