The incident left 44-year-old Erik Mewborn dead, the aftermath of gunfire echoing through an otherwise quiet morning. Details provided in a press release by the MPD reveal that officers were summoned to the scene in the 2200 block of Adams Place, Northeast, after reports of a man down came in at around 5:08 a.m. on Saturday.
