Tragedy struck the town of Newnan, Coweta County, when a local woman was found shot dead inside a business establishment. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has since made an arrest in connection with the death. The victim, identified as Olivia Faith Robinson, 28, of Newnan, was discovered on the evening of September 20, following a report of a shooting at Oz Tactical on East Court Square. In response to this critical incident, the Newnan Police Department called upon the GBI for investigative support. Dispatched around 9:20 p.m. to the location, officers arrived to find the unfortunate scene that later called to how Owens allegedly took Robinson's life. The GBI's subsequent inquiry led to the arrest of William Brannon Owens, 38, also from Newnan, who now faces charges of aggravated assault and murder. Informed by the GBI, Owens has been booked into the Coweta County Jail.
