The Metropolitan Police Department has reported the arrest of Tajuan Lee, a 30-year-old man from Northwest, in connection with a series of business burglaries and a stolen vehicle incident, as announced by authorities.

The arrest was made by the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force on September 4, following a spate of burglaries that occurred throughout August, targeting various establishments along Wisconsin Avenue and other locations, Lee faced charges of Burglary Two for these incidents, in addition, he is also facing charges for Theft One Stolen Auto for an offense that took place in late May.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department website, among the burglaries, one was reported on August 15, where two suspects, allegedly including Lee, broke into an establishment in the 1300 block of Wisconsin Avenue, Northwest at approximately 3:00 a.m., fleeing with stolen property; the case remains under active investigation by law enforcement.

Other burglaries linked to Lee occurred on August 14 in the 1600 block of Wisconsin Avenue, Northwest and another the following day at around 3:36 a.m. in the 1400 block of the same avenue, on August 16 offenses were reported at approximately 4:19 a.m. in the 400 block of K Street, Northwest and at about 5:18 a.m. in the 6100 block of Blair Road, Northwest.

Lee's alleged involvement in auto theft was detailed as happening on May 24 at about 3:02 a.m. at the intersection of Missouri Avenue and 3rd Street, Northwest; Metro Police continue to investigate these matters and seek assistance from the public, offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment, concerned citizens with knowledge about the case should call (202) 727-9099 or text their tip to 50411.
