James Bernard Lee-Livingston, a 28-year-old Pine Township man, was arrested after being on the run since last December. His charges spanned a DUI for which he had previously pled guilty and was on parole and further warrants out of Pittsburgh relating to drug and firearms offenses, as reported by WPXI. Lee-Livingston's current detour with the law was triggered by a domestic disturbance near Babcock Boulevard, close to where he lived.
While police did not disclose the specifics of the domestic altercation, it is known that it led to a significant law enforcement turnout. Following the dispute, Lee-Livingston had evaded capture, but his freedom was short-lived, and he was arrested in his backyard. After setup surveillance by detectives, wanted since a bench warrant was issued, they observed him entering an Uber around 6:30 p.m., as detailed by TribLIVE.
Upon stopping the Uber driver in their driveway, Lee-Livingston fled on foot. He was arrested along a nearby tree line at the end of his yard, marking the end of his attempt to avoid capture. He is now held at the Allegheny County Jail awaiting a preliminary hearing.
