
The Metropolitan Police Department is on the lookout for a suspect involved in a recent shooting in Southwest Washington D.C. The incident, which took place last Saturday, left two people injured and has prompted police to seek the public's help in apprehending the individual responsible.
According to the official release from the MPD, the shooting occurred at approximately 10:36 p.m. in the 4600 block of Martin Luther King, Jr., Avenue, Southwest. Officers, arriving to the heartbreaking sound of gunfire finding two adults with gunshot wounds, quickly secured the scene and facilitated the transport of the victims to a local hospital for treatment.
The Metropolitan Police Department is not only appealing for assistance in identifying the suspect but is also offering a financial incentive. A reward of up to $10,000 has been announced for anyone who can provide information leading to the arrest and conviction of the parties involved in this or other violent crimes across the District of Columbia.

When coming forward with details that could lead to the suspect behind the shooting, the MPD has advised not to take any direct action.
