
Yesterday morning, a routine day at a convenience store took a sudden turn when a man attempted to steal lottery tickets in San Antonio. According to News 4 San Antonio, the incident occurred at approximately 7:15 a.m. near the intersection of San Pedro Ave and Sprucewood Ln.
The San Antonio Police Department reported that a man entered the convenience store and proceeded to quickly assault the clerk by punching them in the face, then grabbed a handful of lottery tickets. The man attempted to hurriedly make his escape, but San Antonio police officers were able to respond immediately and apprehend him shortly after the theft was reported.
Following the arrest, residents and regular shoppers expressed their concern over the brazen act. "It’s just lottery tickets, why resort to violence?" one resident questioned in a statement obtained by Here's San Antonio.
