A Stockton residence has been the center of a major crime bust where a probation search led to the arrest of four individuals and the dismantling of an illegal gambling operation, as reported by the California Highway Patrol - Stockton Area via their Facebook page. This operation by the San Joaquin County Regional Auto Theft Taskforce, which includes members from various police departments and county offices, carried out a thorough investigation that resulted in the recovery of significant amounts of stolen merchandise and cash, alongside a seized firearm with ammunition.

The task force's action sprang from a raid at a Bear Creek Way address and stretched to Delivery Street, where the gambling ring was shut down. The haul included some $80,000 in stolen goods and $30,000 in cash. They also seized one firearm, recovered a stolen Interstate trailer, and brought an end to the gambling activities found on the premises. The four arrested were named as Thai Nguyen, 58; Lan Nguyen, 51; Nha Hoang, 36, and Priya Singh, 40. Their charges range from felony organized retail crimes, felony firearm charges, to conspiracy, and operating an illegal gambling facility, among others.

The collaborative task force behind this operation is comprised of officials from the California Highway Patrol, Stockton Police Department, Manteca Police Department, San Joaquin County Probation Department, Tracy Police Department, San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office, and Investigators from the San Joaquin County District Attorney’s Office. The multi-agency effort underscores the importance of regional cooperation in addressing and mitigating complex criminal operations within local communities.

The CHP - Stockton emphasized their mission in their Facebook announcement, stating, "The mission of the California Highway Patrol is to provide the highest level of safety, service, and security."
