The Denver Police Department has apprehended a suspect in connection with a recent homicide on North Broadway. According to the City and County of Denver, Jasmane Taylor, born on December 24, 1989, faces accusations regarding the killing of an adult female dating back to September 7th this year.
Emergency services were dispatched to a residence on the 2000 block of N. Broadway Street for a welfare check on the afternoon of September 9, which is when they discovered the deceased. Despite initial obscurity, detective work, alongside witness testimonies and surveillance footage, seems to now confirm a violent encounter that has since been classified as murder. In the unfolding of these events, authorities were able to quickly and unilaterally identify Taylor as the primary subject of their investigation.
Taylor was intercepted on September 13 during inquiries that were not related to the murder investigation. The relationship between Taylor and the victim is understood as acquaintanceship, and the altercation that led to the victim's death seems to be rooted in a direct and personal conflict. As of now, Taylor is detained on suspicion of First-Degree Murder, waiting for the Denver District Attorney's Office to pass final judgment on potential charges.
