
The Metropolitan Police Department has reported an arrest following a robbery incident that took place in Northwest Washington D.C. According to the department's news release, officers were called to the 1300 block of Irving Street, Northwest, on Saturday.
As reported by the MPD, around 4:30 p.m., a suspect allegedly approached a victim, forcibly took their belongings, and then fled. The victim, fortunately, sustained no injuries during the event. The officers, responding to the scene, received descriptions and began their search, which culminated in a swift arrest not long after the crime occurred.
Local authorities have disclosed that the individual in custody is a 15-year-old male from Capitol Heights, MD. Detectives' investigation led to his arrest and charge for robbery (snatch). Details of the investigation and events leading to his arrest remain confidential, with police only revealing the charge but not the evidence that led to it.
Regarding the case process, the suspect's identity has been withheld, as is common in juvenile cases.
