Three individuals have been apprehended and charged following a carjacking event in Montgomery County, with detectives linking them to the crime after a meticulous investigation. The incident in question transpired in the early morning hours of September 2, when the victim picked up one of the accused at a gas station before being forcefully parted from his Honda Civic on Veirs Mill Road. Details shared by the Montgomery County Department of Police help paint a clearer image of the circumstances surrounding the crime.
Responding to the scene at 4:33 a.m., officers discovered that 26-year-old Lascelles Alonzo Greenwood and 35-year-old Dewayne Davis approached the Honda and, with a knife threatening, relieved the victim of his vehicle. Alongside them was 27-year-old Alei Imani Cook, who had been picked up by the victim just moments earlier. After the investigation's findings, all three were connected to the carjacking.
Greenwood and Cook were taken into custody five days following the incident, near the intersection of Veirs Mill Road and Randolph Road. A week later, Davis was also apprehended in the same area. The suspects now face serious charges, with Greenwood and Davis implicated for armed carjacking among other offenses, while Cook is held accountable for conspiracy to commit carjacking and theft, as per police records.
Following their arrest, the trio was transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit.
