Three individuals have been taken into custody following a robbery incident in the Northwest area. According to the Metropolitan Police Department, yesterday morning at about 9:02 a.m., it's alleged that the trio targeted a victim on the 1600 block of Lamont Street, Northwest.
According to official statements, the suspects engaged in physical assault, dispossessed the individual of their belongings, and subsequently fled from the location. While the victim did not suffer injuries during the incident, the unfolding police operation soon caught up with the alleged offenders.
Law enforcement swiftly located the suspects and placed them under arrest. As a result of the investigation, Lannel Steward, 46, Tyrone Robinson, 36, and Marques Belton, 38 — all with no known permanent address, were taken into custody and have been charged with Robbery (Force and Violence). Details about the apprehension of these individuals are limited.
