A truck veered off the road and into two homes on Milwaukee's northwest side Saturday evening, causing three people to be hospitalized. The incident, occurring near 40th Street and Roosevelt Drive around 6:30 p.m., sent shockwaves through the neighborhood as residents witnessed the impact. According to WISN, one of the homeowners, Sharita Turner recounted the event saying, "It was like, boom. Like something was exploding." Thankfully, the structural damage to both homes appeared minimal, primarily impacting outside walls and a fence in the alley.
Sharing the corner with the affected area, resident Arstine Linwood described the chaotic moments, telling WISN, "Everything just started shaking. A curtain fell off the wall and pictures fell down." Running out to help, Turner and her family joined bystanders assisting the truck's occupants. Pieces from the black pickup truck were dispersed across the yard, where one wheel was conspicuously detached, left lying next to the vehicle’s damaged front end as reported by TMJ4.
Another angle on the situation emerged from the FOX6 News coverage, which found the truck with significant front-end damage up against the corner of a home. With a wheel off, the Milwaukee Fire Department promptly responded, transporting three individuals to the hospital. Milwaukee Police Department did not immediately provide further details regarding the incident.
