
An EMBARK bus and an SUV collided in southwest Oklahoma City on Sunday afternoon, resulting in two hospitalizations. According to information from OKC FOX, the crash took place near SW 15th Street and Meridian Ave. Oklahoma City Police reported that there were no passengers aboard the bus at the time of the collision.
The EMBARK bus was to not be driven by its regular driver but by a service technician, who was conducting what an EMBARK employee called a road test. The two occupants of the SUV—a driver and a passenger—were transported to a nearby hospital following the incident. Details regarding their conditions or the extent of their injuries have not been disclosed. The KOCO reported that the SUV had rolled over and came to rest on its top after the collision.
Family members of the injured expressed their concern, indicating the gravity of the situation. "They’re scared because their daughter and son-in-law are in the hospital," a relative told KOCO. Additionally, it was revealed that their daughter was on her way home with groceries at the time of the accident.
The exact cause of the crash has yet to be determined. The driver of the EMBARK bus was not injured and did not require hospitalization.
