Bob Berghell, a grandson of Cyrus Avery, will be in a lead car when Tulsa stages the Route 66 Capital Cruise on May 30. The parade is a Guinness World Record attempt with thousands of classic cars registered.

The Oklahoma State Fair will center its 2026 run on Route 66's centennial, billing the carnival as "The Midway of the Mother Road." Expect themed rides, exhibits and rolling announcements.
