
The Vancouver Police Department disclosed on Friday a tragic end to the life of a woman, 39-year-old Keomany Phetchitvathanalay, after she was found deceased with gunshot wounds inside a tent, with police now treating her death as the result of a drive-by shooting per details shared by OregonLive.
Initial reports remained scant as the authorities maintained a two-day silence before revealing the circumstances of Phetchitvathanalay’s death which occurred in the early hours of Wednesday in the vicinity of the 3500 block of Northeast 66th Avenue, for reasons which the police have not disclosed, adding an unsettling layer of mystery to an already distressing incident; furthermore, the incident's classification as a homicide has been confirmed by a medical examiner, as further detailed in a report by KOIN 6 News.
