As the day progresses into the evening, the NWS predicts that skies will remain partly cloudy as temperatures dip to a low of around 55 degrees, with east-southeast winds slowly to gradually calm to a light variable breeze after midnight. Looking ahead into Friday, residents can expect to maintain mostly sunny conditions with highs inching up nearer to 88 degrees, and southeast winds picking up at a pace of 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon.
The official forecast for the weekend hints at a change, however, with a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon on Saturday. The day will likely start sunny with a high near 70, then shift as north-northeast winds of 9 to 14 mph arrive by morning, potentially gusting up to 22 mph. These conditions are projected to lead to a 90% chance of precipitation on Saturday night, including showers and possible thunderstorms.
Sunday's outlook offers a reprieve from the wet weather, with a 50 percent chance of morning showers before giving way to partially sunny skies and a cooler high of 59 degrees. The rest of the week seems to be a mix, with Denver experiencing mostly clear nights and sunny days, punctuated by occasional chances for showers and thunderstorms as the week progresses, particularly on Monday night and Tuesday. Daily highs will range, climbing back up to around 77 degrees on Monday, before dropping slightly on Tuesday and then resuming a steady warmth towards the mid-70s by Wednesday.
