Residents and stakeholders in Washington County have a chance to shape the future of County Highway 16, better known as Valley Creek Road, as the local authorities are inviting public input on a corridor study. This initiative, a collaboration between Washington County and the City of Woodbury, is geared towards evaluating the current and future necessities of the thoroughfare stretching from Interlachen Parkway to State Highway 95 (Manning Avenue). The focus encompasses multiple factors including highway capacity, intersection quality, access points, right-of-way needs, drainage, and accommodations for pedestrians and cyclists, as reported by Washington County Minnesota.
An open house has been scheduled on October 1 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. for the community to engage directly with the project team, offer their insights on potential design alternatives, and familiarize themselves with the upcoming phases of the study, this session will take place at Woodbury City Hall in the Council Chambers located at 8301 Valley Creek Rd, Woodbury, MN, as confirmed by Washington County.
For those unable to attend in person, there has been an online engagement option set up, where interested parties can review the materials presented at the in-person open house. Access to the online resources will be available on the project's website from October 1 through October 15, as noted by Washington County Minnesota.
