The White Settlement Police Department has successfully taken suspect Joshua Bevely into custody, a much-needed win for community safety. According to the White Settlement Police Department's Facebook page, the arrest was made possible through a combination of public tips and the perseverance of the press, specifically, Fox 4 Reporter Shaun Rabb, who has been credited with aiding in bringing attention to this string of serious crimes.
With Bevely now in custody, law enforcement agencies across Westworth Village, Benbrook, and Fort Worth are poised to clear numerous cases related to vehicle burglaries, stolen firearms, and auto theft. The capture not only brings a sigh of relief but also is considered a collective effort among the affected agencies. A second suspect was also apprehended alongside Bevely, signaling a significant crackdown on the crime wave that has recently hit these communities. In total, the suspect was wanted for breaking into more than a dozen cars and stealing a vehicle, including the theft of four firearms from inside those cars. Working tirelessly, White Settlement Police in partnership with Dart County Crime Stoppers, have been instrumental in the apprehension of these individuals.
Leading the charge against Bevely was Detective Geovanny Ramirez, who managed to secure arrest warrants pivotal to the case's progression. The public was urged by authorities to assist in Bevely's capture, with information channeled through various means including the White Settlement Police Department's email, a dedicated phone line, and Tarrant County Crime Stoppers. Each tip received held the potential to unravel the criminal activities that Bevely was implicated in, and this input from the public played a crucial role in his eventual arrest.
