White Settlement, Texas, a community tradition is set to continue with the announcement of a second location for the upcoming Faith & Blue Weekend. In a statement made yesterday, the White Settlement Police Department revealed that First Baptist Church of White Settlement will open its doors to host an event on Sunday, October 13, welcoming the public from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. for an evening of connection between law enforcement and the community.
These events are part of a larger nationwide initiative designed to strengthen relations and build bridges between the police force and the neighborhoods they serve, the initiative aims to foster understanding through open dialogue and shared experiences, and this has been echoed by the intended gatherings at both churches in White Settlement where one such event will take place on October 12, Destiny Church of DFW is also hosting the White Settlement Police Department from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., a day before First Baptist Church's engagement.
