A tragic accident occurred Saturday morning in Victorville when 19-year-old Matthew Lozano was killed in a motorcycle crash, officials reported. SBSD - Victorville Police Department indicated that deputies from the Victorville Police Station, along with Victorville Fire Department and American Medical Response, were dispatched at approximately 7:55 a.m. to Topaz Road, south of Luna Road, following reports of a single-vehicle motorcycle incident.
Upon their arrival, authorities found Lozano, the young motorcyclist, having collided with the west curb line of Topaz Road resulting in major injuries that led to his being pronounced dead at the scene, the sequence of events as they unfolded that morning was not just tragic but it left a sobering silence on those who arrived to find a life extinguished in its nascent stage. Following the crash, the thoroughfare was closed between La Mesa Road and Luna Road for an extended period to allow for an in-depth investigation by the deputies on site.
