
The manhunt for a suspect connected to a 2019 murder in Clarksville concluded on Thursday with the arrest of Turnity Rossell in Memphis. As reported by FOX 17, the U.S. Marshals managed to apprehend the 22-year-old who now faces charges of First Degree Murder and Aggravated Robbery. The arrest came after a five-year-long wait since the crime took place on October 28, 2019.
According to Clarksville Online, the Clarksville Police initially responded to a shots fired call, discovering the victim, Serdyrin Brown, also 22, with gunshot wounds at the Hand Village Avenue apartments. After issuing a warrant for Rossell on June 4, the Middle Tennessee Fugitive Task Force adopted the case eventually tracking Rossell to Memphis, assisted by the U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force.
The intensive search involved multiple law enforcement agencies, culminating in Rossell’s capture at a residence near South Mendenhall and Colony. Despite initially providing a false identity, Rossell was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Shelby County Detention Center, as per FOX 17.
