In a bold move to clamp down on the incessant wave of robocalls plaguing consumers, Arizona's Attorney General Kris Mayes issued a stern warning to iDentidad Telecom, otherwise known as iDentidad Advertising Development LLC. The attorney general's office, who through constant vigilance, demands the company cease transmitting suspected illegal robocall traffic. As reported by the Arizona Attorney General's Office, Mayes stated, "My office will not tolerate companies that facilitate illegal robocalls, which annoy and harm Arizonans."

With the power of the Anti-Robocall Multistate Litigation Task Force behind her – involving a bipartisan group of 51 attorneys general – Attorney General Mayes warns that companies engaged in the facilitation of such calls will be "held accountable." Part of this formidable task force's mandate is to investigate and pursue legal action against entities routing illegal robocall traffic into and throughout the U.S.

iDentidad, who is responsible for routing calls that impersonated the Illinois Attorney General's Office to non-Illinois residents, has been implicated in facilitating a range of scams, from IRS/Social Security Administration government imposters to utilities and financial scams, according to the Arizona Attorney General's Office. With such a stark breach of consumer trust, it's clear that the issue runs deep and that aggressive litigation could be on the horizon if the company fails to comply with the warning.
