Members of the Youth Violence Strike Force, in a joint effort with the Massachusetts State Police, made three arrests on yesterday at a Dorchester residence, the Boston Police Department reported. The officers executed both arrest and search warrants at 95 Willowwood St., leading to the recovery of a firearm, ammunition, and illegal substances. Among those arrested were 20-year-old Syncere Lindsay and two 17-year-old males, whose names have not been disclosed due to their age.

The operation began with serving the arrest warrants, but swiftly escalated to executing a search of the premises. During the search, officers uncovered a Springfield Armory .45- APC firearm, which had one round in the chamber and a large capacity magazine filled with ten additional rounds of ammunition. They also found to recover a considerable amount of crack cocaine and assorted pills. The discoveries took a search intended to bring the individuals before the law and turned it into a substantial seizure of potentially dangerous items.

According to the Boston Police Department, one of the juveniles arrested will be arraigned in Dorchester District Court on charges that include Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device, and Possession of a Class B Substance with Intent to Distribute. The charges are compounded by a previous warrant for a Probation/Parole Violation. The other juvenile is facing the court for an outstanding warrant related to a Probation/Parole Violation.

Syncere Lindsay, apprehended in the same operation, is scheduled to be arraigned on charges stemming from an outstanding warrant as well. These include Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, and Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device. The swift action by law enforcement serves to not only remove potentially harmful individuals from the streets but also to clear up the arsenal that could have been used to commit further crimes.
